Confessions of a Murder Suspect

The book I read was Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro. This book is 372 pages long. If you like murder mysteries and comedic narrators, this is the book for you. My favorite part of the book is when, in the confessions, she straight out breaks the 4th wall and starts talking to you. Also, this book is serious but it also adds a comedic touch to the deaths.

No spoiler alerts here. 🙁

Well, this book starts off very, very darkly. Not really any exposition at all. So, Tandoori Angel, a.k.a Tandy, wakes up to a knock on the door. She opens the door to two unhappy cops. They shove her aside and barge into her parent’s room. Then, she finds them dead, her dad with a purple, grotesque tongue and her mom just lay there, sprawled out. After, she became determined to discover who had murdered her parents. Now, The Dakota is a very murderous place. Many celebrities died there. Anyway, everybody wakes up and their lawyer, Phillippe, comes into the scene. He tells the cops that they are not allowed to interview kids without an adult supervising them. He then leaves. Then, Tandy starts investigating everybody who had a motive to kill her parents. She looked through Samantha’s room and found a necklace that was engraved. It was a love note from her mom to Samantha, a.k.a Sammy, and she interviews Samantha (Oh, she was her mom’s living with secretary) but she just says that they loved each other. BLECH!!! Anyway, she then looks at her neighbors. (Don’t remember names) All of the neighbors had a motive to kill them. From disagreeing to be in a movie to getting sued for a book because it related too much to the family. So she interviews the neighbors but then, they get arrested for “blocking the path of investigation” or junk like that. I mean, SERIOUSLY?! You’re gonna blame 13-10 year old kids for just sitting in their hotel room? Anyway, they’re arrested and are thrown into jail. They get broken out by Phillipe and they then decide to eat everything their parents wouldn’t approve of. What? Who would do that once their parents are dead?! Then, they flip all the diners off. (Laughed so hard then) Then, they find tapes in the film director’s room. One has been labeled Master Bedroom (or M.B. for short) and Harry pushes it into the DVD player. What will show itself to the Angels? Who murdered them, if they even murdered them? Find out, in Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro!

Hamstersaurus Rex Vs. Squirrel Kong

Image result for hamstersaurus rex vs squirrel kong

The book I read was Hamstersaurus Rex vs. Squirrel Kong by Tom O’Donnell and illustrated by Tim Miller. This book is 167 pages long. (Don’t judge me, it’s funny and good) If you like mutated pets that battle each other, then you will like this book. Also, it’s funny and weird. My favorite part about this book is that it gives details, but it also has cartoony drawings that help the reader actually visualize what they look like.

<SPOILER ALERT!>

READ THE 1ST BOOK BEFORE READING THIS ONE! (IT DOESN’T REALLY MATTER, BUT STILL!)

By the way, I’ll summarize/spoil the 1st book for you if you’re still reading this. So basically, Coach Weekes got some type of drug that gave you “Prehistoric Power” and H. Rex, not a rex right now, dug into the stuff and mutated. Then, Beefer hated him so he tried to kill him at the science fair. Right when a SmilesCorp assistant showed them the invisible doughnut, Beefer’s snake ate it. Then, H. Rex swung him around and threw him out the window. Now, this book starts with Sam Gibbs, the main character, taking H. Rex out of his cage to film a movie. They then get attacked by a giant squirrel. He loses his camera and memory card and runs off. He then, tomorrow, finds out that this giant squirrel smashed through the science room. He tells his best friend, Dylan, and they look for proof of the giant squirrel and his camera. They don’t find anything except his camera, and then they move on. The next day, Martha or something resigns as hamster monitor because H. Rex wasn’t in the cage. Then, he gets called to the principal’s office, where she tells him H. Rex will be sent to the home for troubled pets. (which name I do not know) Will Sam be able to show that Squirrel Kong is real and save H. Rex? Find out in Hamstersaurus Rex vs. Squirrel Kong by Tom O’Donnell and Tim Miller!

The Rule of Thoughts

The book I read was The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner. It is 325 pages long. If you like gaming and futuristic books, then this is the book for you. I love how this book sticks to one person’s perspective, but still is in the 3rd person, which is very annoying since all we want to know is what’s happening to everybody else. I also love how this book is very thrilling and everything isn’t as it seems.

<SPOILER ALERT> READ THE 1ST BOOK BEFORE READING THIS ONE!

This book starts off with Michael, A.K.A Jackson Porter, getting visited by Agent Weber. Then, he gets kidnapped by some of Kaine’s lackeys and escapes off a train. He finds Sarah’s house address and takes some money from the Porters. Then, Gabriela, Jackson’s girlfriend, confronts him and he runs away. He goes onto the Bullet Train, which goes 200 mph, and finds some woman looking at him. He chases her down, she says he has 3 days, and then steps out of the train and kills herself. Michael thinks that she’s also a Tangent and then leaves. Once he reaches the city Sarah lives in, he goes into his hotel and buys two state-of-the-art Coffins. The next day, he leaves for Sarah’s house, reaches it, and knocks on the door. Sarah’s mom answers the door and he goes in. Sarah’s dad threatens to shoot Michael with his pistol, they wait for Sarah to come, and Michael convinces her that he is who he says he is. Once she’s convinced, Sarah’s parents are kidnapped. They then go to his hotel and they dive while trying to find Bryson. They wait in their treehouse and find someone snooping on them. They run like lightning and Michael thinks it was Agent Weber. They then find Bryson, talk about stuff, and then give him a clue on where their hotel is. They then wait for 3 days straight just hanging out at the restaurant and then they finally find Bryson. They talk about what happened, how much money Bryson used to track them down, etc. Then, they look through the NewsBops on Bryson’s ancient tablet, which can’t be traced. They find stories that seem like Kaine is behind them. Politicians changing their minds about the weirdest stuff. The biggest Buddhist killing all his followers, etc. Then, they realize that they need to tell the VNS about this and they find the closest VNS building and go there. They find some smoker that is apparently part of the VNS and talk to Agent Weber. She reacts by telling them that she doesn’t know them and throws them out. Almost directly after that, a copper (slang for cop) pulls them over and arrests them. Michael (probably) kills him and they run into the police station. They then kill more cops and run away. They go to the VNS’s central headquarters in Atlanta and they get helped by Gabby. They then find Agent Weber, ask her about why she hung up on them. She tells them, they go into Coffins to try and track down Kaine and find some information. They get trapped in an abandoned city, and they then fall into holes. After they get out, they try to find information on Kaine, but will they be able to survive some of the worst trials that Kaine has in store for them? And even if they do, will the facts that they find be enough to bring down this powerful Tangent? Find out in The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner.

The Eye of Minds

The book I read was The Eye of Minds by James Dashner. This book is 342 pages long. Another book by this author is The Maze Runner and The 13th Reality series. Another book that I like that is related to this book (kind of) is Sword Art Online. It talks about people getting stuck in VR. The situation is similar to both books but also very different. I love how the book just takes random turn after random turn and it kept me in suspense every time.

Have you ever wondered how humankind would shield themselves from the Earth’s doom? Well, people have shielded themselves with virtual reality, and not the way you expected. People (usually naked) sit down in “Coffins” and have tubes latch on to their skin, and they have a full-dive experience. The best Coffins give them such a realistic experience that they feel every punch or tackle in their games and become sore. Also, the coffin has tubes that give you nutrients if you eat in the virtual world, so you can last there for about a week. Michael comes from a rich family, and is privileged to have the best Coffin on the market. His parents travel around so he rarely ever sees them, and seeks consolation in the Virtual world. He’s even found virtual friends that he’s never met IRL! They plan to meet sometime, but they never keep their promises. Then, things all change when he has to talk a girl out of suicide and blabs all about Kaine. Then, she programs her own Core out, her part that keeps the Virtual from reality. Then, a gray limousine chases him down an alleyway and he gets recruited by the VNS. (VirtNet Security) They tell him to find Kaine, a psychotic gamer who captures hundreds of victims in the VirtNet and Michael tells his friends, Bryson and Sarah, about this and Kaine threatens them about what’s going to happen if they try to stop him. Michael, Bryson, and Sarah try to quit, but the VNS, who are jerks, shut down their VirtNet access and they have to help them or else. Michael and his friends then tell them that they’re going to help them and they ask Cutter how to find Kaine. He tells them that they can find the information they need from Ronika, the owner of the Black and Blue Crab, the most famous restaurant in the VirtNet. They then talk to Ronika and she tells them that they can find a weak coding spot in the game, Devils of Destruction. They then get attacked by Kaine, Ronika basically dies, and they leave. Then, Michael gets headaches, they leave for Devils of Destruction, go crazy checking every single trench to find the weak spot, they find it, and they go through. Then, they learn The Path is meant to keep people out, not in. Will they be able to fight through The Path’s many obstacles? Or will they fail and die and live with the consequences? And who is this mysterious gamer named Kaine, and how could he be in a place where others haven’t reached? Find out, in The Eye of Minds by James Dashner!

Michael Vey: Fall of Hades

The book I read was Michael Vey: Fall of Hades by Richard Paul Evans. This book is 352 pages long. Another amazing book in another of one of my favorite series is Daniel X: Lights Out and Fang from Maximum Ride. What I liked about this book is that the author addressed the cliffhanger right at the beginning of the book.

<SPOILER ALERT!!!!> READ THE 1ST 5 BOOKS BEFORE READING THIS ONE!

This book starts off with addressing the cliffhanger, Chairman Schema (not really chairman any more) gaping at who the voice is. Apparently, it is not Michael’s dad, it’s one of the scientists, Dr. Coonradt. They start talking about how to capture the Joule and then we flashback to Welch. We go back to how Welch first got involved with the Elgen, when Hatch gets overthrown  from dictator, and Welch “silences” people so they can’t say anything. Then, the Electroclan fly to Taiwan and get Welch. Cassy is introduced to the Electroclan and almost kills everybody except Michael. Then, they stop Cassy’s power on the Electroclan and Jack punches all the Elgen in the face. Then, Cassy almost dies because of Michael, the have to have Michael shock her back, she says she didn’t see a light, and then they learn of a giant storm in Fiji. They wait in Sydney, go to Fiji, find Gervaso’s old friend JD, who got shot in the leg for him, and they board his ship, which ironically, is called Risky Business. On the first day, they play, like, 500 games of Texas Hold ‘Em and Zeus stays inside. The next day, Zeus still stays inside but the others fish by borrowing a crew member’s fishing rods. Taylor catches an actual fish and Ostin catches/annoys a hammerhead shark. Ian tells them when a fish is about to bite and they also find a gigantic sunken ship. They vow to go back there once if they survive and try to find treasure. Then, we cut back to JD and he is part of Hatch’s crew and only wants to get the $100,000,000 reward for their capture. They then realize this, tie up JD and his crew and leave for Tuvalu. Hatch already knows that they’re coming and carefully awaits their arrival. Will they be able to outwit Hatch and save Quentin, Tara, Torstyn and get out of there alive? Or has their incredible luck ran out? And where is The Voice located? Find out, in Michael Vey: Fall of Hades by Richard Paul Evans!

Michael Vey: Storm of Lightning

The book I read was Michael Vey: Storm of Lightning by Richard Paul Evans. This book is 271 pages long. Another amazing 5th book in a series is Daniel X: Armageddon and Max from Maximum Ride. (Don’t judge me, James Patterson is the best) Anyway, what I love about this book is that every part of it is action and you have to read every detail to fully appreciate this book.

<SPOILER ALERT>

READ THE 4 BOOKS BEFORE THIS OR ELSE!

Anyway, this book starts off with Michael and the rest of the Electroclan on a plane. They arrive in Mexico and they look at the Trubbish (PUNS!) and Michael and Ostin try looking for their moms (and dad) but can’t find anything. They find an Elgen who was hit and crashed in the plane. The others died and he needed water. They had him treated in Arizona and in Mexico, Michael turned into a lightning ball and got unpronounceable marks. (Something like Liechtenstein) They left for the next safest base, which is the Christmas Ranch, located in Utah. Michael and Ostin reunite, and they learn that Taylor’s mom was arrested. They leave for Idaho again and find Taylor’s dad. He tries to take her back and kill them, Michael stuns him, and he cooperates. Then, they blow up the car in which both Taylor’s mom (mum in English) and dad are in. Will they be able to survive the blazing heat and was their plan too hot to handle? Or will they successfully escape and be able to retrieve both of them right under the Elgen’s noses? Also, Hatch’s kids start to rebel. Mainly Tara, Quentin, and Torstyn. When Hatch finds out, he is furious and is executing them all. Will they be able to successfully rebel against Hatch and push him back? Or will they be executed and left to die. And, we leave 6 weeks before the whole incident, Schema gets captured and rescued/captured. When he arrives to their headquarters, he sees who the voice is. Who is the voice? Is he/she a friend or a foe? Read Michael Vey: Storm of Lightning by Richard Paul Evans to find out.

Note: Not all questions will be answered in this book, SO BE PATIENT!

Michael Vey: Hunt for Jade Dragon

The book I read was Michael Vey: Hunt for Jade Dragon by Richard Paul Evans. This book is 319 pages long. Another 4th book in an amazing series is Maximum Ride: The Final Warning and Daniel X: Game Over. One thing I loved about this book was that it set the readers into a million different perspectives that help us understand the book better and make us suspect one thing, but the exact opposite happens. Also, since a lot of people are scattered everywhere, the flashes in between help us make sense of what is happening.

SPOILER ALERT! READ THE 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD BOOK FIRST!

Anyway, this book starts off with Michael and his Electroclan at the ranch. The Electroclan just got back from sinking the Ampere, the Elgen’s super boat. Michael reunites with his mom, and Ostin reunites with his mom and dad. Then, Taylor’s mom arrives and Taylor reunites with her mom. Michael plans on setting up a prom just for Taylor, and he does it with the help of his mom and her mom. Michael dresses up in a suit while Taylor is in a dress. Michael pins a corsage to her dress and they leave. They eat weird food like some animal’s liver, which is actually really good, and dance around. After that, they learn that they have another mission to save a girl named Jade Dragon (hence the name) in Taiwan and also train to fight Asian super ninjas. These super ninjas kidnapped her and are part of the most elite Elgen guards. They are after her because she found out the equation on how to fix the MEI. They also learn that Jade Dragon is a mute and deaf autistic savant. A savant is a person who has extraordinary skills in the human brain and usually has many defects. For instance, Ostin says that one person woke up to beautiful music that was their son who was blind and had learned how to play an extremely difficult piece of music just from hearing it on TV. After, they leave for Taiwan and meet up with their associate, Ben, who does not English well. Ostin corrects him, which is rude, and they leave for the hotel. Then, they look at the Starxource plant and it starts raining. The Starxource plant used to be the Asian equivalent of Alcatraz (look it up) and the added even more guards to it. They think it’s hopeless, and Michael arranges a plan. The Elgen don’t know if they’re actually in Taiwan, so they’ll destroy a smaller plant somewhere else to lure them off. They send Zeus and Tessa to a small plant with only 37 guards and have them destroy it. Then, they go to an outdoor market and eat and shop. Then, Taylor gets kidnapped and switched with Tara. After, they get captured by the Lung Li because of Nichelle, who turned them in. Ostin theorizes that Taylor has been already captured, but is it true? Will they be able to escape with their lives and save Jade Dragon? Will they save their own lives instead? Or, will they not be able to escape at all? Find out in Michael Vey: Hunt for Jade Dragon by Richard Paul Evans.

Michael Vey: Battle of the Ampere

The book I read was Michael Vey: Battle of the Ampere by Richard Paul Evans. This book is 307 pages long. I love how they keep adding at least one new “member” to the Electroclan in every book so and add new powers that keep us in suspense because we don’t know how powerful these powers would be until they’ve actually are in the most dangerous situation of the book. Another 3rd book of an amazing series is Daniel X: Demons and Druids and Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. These books are all alike because Daniel X has powers (alien ones) and Max and her gang have fridgin’ wings so they can fly. If that isn’t a power, I don’t know what is. I love how they keep us in suspense for over 2 chapters because of the decision making and the constant pauses.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to live in the Amazon jungle? Rescue your friends from the 29th strongest army in the world? If yes to the 2nd question, you’re crazy. Anyway, this book starts off with Michael continuously passing out and getting treated from his broken ankle. The girl who treats him think he’s cute. ( BLEH! :C) Anyway, he finds another girl named Tessa (A.K.A Tesla) and they have to leave the Amaccara, a tribe that has been taking care of her for around half a year. Since the Peruvian army thinks that they were holding terrorists, they make the tribe extinct. (Croaky Voice) Yay. They get rescued by Jaime, talk to the voice, learn that Michael’s mom is okay and with Grace and Tanner. They learn that the other members of the Electroclan are going to get tried for their crimes and being moved. The Electroclan is kidnapped by people who work for the Elgen, they get caught, and they start moving. When Jaime sees the Peruvian army coming, Tessa enhances Michael’s powers, and he magnetizes two cars together to make a traffic jam. While Jaime and his friends are pushing boulders onto the cars. They first rescue Ian and find the others quickly. Their plans don’t go as expected and the boulders don’t make it to the trucks. Also, Ian can’t find Jack or Taylor. Taylor and Jack were kidnapped by an Australian bounty hunter. They find Taylor and Jack and rescue them, and then Wade gets shot by a guy that was in the back of the truck. Jack blames himself for letting Wade get hurt, while Ian blames himself for not seeing the guy. They then leave after an improvised funeral in the jungle for Wade. They meet Jaime in the hotel, and then get moved to a safe house. Meanwhile, Hatch takes over the Elgen by overtaking the Ampere the biggest boat of the Elgen fleet, and almost kills Chairman Schema, until 2 takes his place because of love. Ian, Abigail, Zeus, and Tessa leave because they’re scared of dying. They have a farewell feast and then they leave for the U.S. Michael practices magnetically climbing with a rope tied around him and improves a lot. When the time finally comes, Jack carries the backpack chock-full of explosives. They learn it can ignite in the presence of extreme heat, and can use McKenna to light it in case of a problem. They leave for the Ampere and Michael climbs the walls in less than 10 minutes. Jack comes up first, then Taylor, then McKenna, and finally Ostin. They go and fight a sailor for his pass, while Jack finds one by punching one when they opened the door. They quickly traverse the ship, because Ostin memorized the ship blueprints, and hide it next to a pipe. Hatch finds them out, and guards come at them in every direction. Will they be able to survive and escape with their lives? Or will they go down in flames and glory? To find out, read Michael Vey: Battle of the Ampere by Richard Paul Evans.

Fuzzy Mud

The book I read was Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar. This book is 181 pages long. Another book by Louis Sachar is Holes. Another book is Sideways Stories from Wayside School. If you like huge mysteries revolving around innocent kids, then you’ll definitely love this book! I love how the author added interrogations into the book so you have a huge suspenseful laps right when the book gets to an exciting part.

Have you ever walked through the woods before, with a friend, and stepped in something disgusting? If yes, then you have it way better than Tamaya, Marshall, and Chad, because their disgusting thing is a thing that almost killed all of humanity. Anyway, this book starts off with Tamaya. Tamaya is our 5th grade heroine who has to walk home with a guy named Marshall Walsh (7th grader) and follows him into the forest. Marshall is being bullied by a guy named Chad Hilligas, who just came from another school, since he was expelled from 4 other schools. He challenges Marshall to a fight on a corner of a street. When Marshall doesn’t show up, he runs into the woods and tries to find them. Tamaya and Marshall walk through the forest, and then Chad finds them. Tamaya shoves the fuzzy mud into Chad’s face and feels a tingling sensation. They run, Tamaya goes back to her house and changes, waiting for her mom, while Marshall gets scolded for leaving the twins alone. Tamaya and her mother eat pizza, and she shows her mom her rash. Her mom tells her to put some cream on it and see if it heals. The next day, she wakes up to a pinkish-bronze dust on her blanket, the exact same color as her skin. Anyway, Tamaya and Marshall leave for school right after her mom tells her that she’s going to take her to the doctor after school. Marshall doesn’t see Chad during the whole school day before lunch. Tamaya is worried about Chad so she first tells Marshall, then leaves with her lunch sack to find Chad. Then, Marshall goes after her. Will they be able to find Chad, save themselves, and find what is up with the fuzzy mud? Who knows? Anyway, the next part is about the SunRay Farm. They first interview Dr. Humbard about this new, clean, and recyclable energy known as Biolene. Then, they interview Dr. Fitz about the Biolene, and he tells them that at first he failed, but then he kept trying until he prevailed. He also told us that there are about a quadrillion “Ergies” in every gallon of Biolene. Then, they learn that ergies can’t survive in oxygen. Then, they interrogate Prof. Mayfair and she tells them that they need to stop making people have babies. 3 months after “The Incident in Heath Cliff” we learn that they quarantined people in Heath Cliff and they had never seen a disease like this ever before. Then, Dr. Fitz gets tried for the rash outbreak. Will Dr. Fitz get tried and arrested for the rash outbreak, or will he be found innocent and let go? And what is to happen to our 2 heroes, Tamaya and Marshall? To find out, read Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar.

The Scorch Trials

The book I read was The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. This book is 360 pages long. Another book by James Dashner is The Journal of Curious Letters in the 13th Reality series. Another one is A Mutiny in Time, part of the Infinity Ring series. If you liked the first book in this giant series, you have to read this book. I love how sometimes, because of the character they chose as the person we are in the shoes of knows nothing and continuous blackouts everywhere.

<SPOILER ALERT!> Do not read this summary unless you read the 1st book!

Have you ever seen a storm, but no rain? Weird crazy people who want your nose? If you said yes, either you live in a very strange neighborhood, or you are a very, very sick person. Anyway, Thomas has seen all this, and way more, so don’t go complaining how your life sucks, because his is even worse, times 1000. He almost dies, and his “so-called” best friend tries to kill him, but more on that later. First off, we find Thomas just waking up from his weird coma. Right after that, he gets up, finds a bunch of weirdo Cranks with slashes on their faces, trying to get people to kill them, while also weirding out the Gladers. They break the knob to their door and burst out into the kitchen. They turn on the lights, and there are, like, 50 dead bodies hung to the ceiling, with purple faces and stuff. They rush to Teresa’s room, find a plaque that says “Teresa A# The Betrayer” (I forgot the number, probably 1 or 2) They bust the door again, worry that Teresa disappeared, but hear the toilet flush. They awkwardly wait until the door opens, and expect to see Teresa, but get a kid named Aris instead. Aris is a member of Group B who WICKED sent there. He is labeled as “The Partner” They look at the door again, but it switches and now says “Aris B1: The Partner”. (It might not be B1 but something else, I can’t remember) Anyway, the dead bodies somehow disappear and everyone is puzzled. About 1 week later, after laying down and drinking water from the toilet, a shipment comes and a guy they call Rat Man is in an invisible force field. Thomas wakes up to Minho handing him an apple. He savors every bit of juiciness from the apple and after he eats the thing to the core, he greedily snatched another one. In between bites, he asks Minho where the food came from and he points to the Rat Man. (BATMAN!!!) He first walks into the force field, falls on the floor, and bangs on the field until the Rat Man gets up and actually talks to him. (You ever think of yourself at a young age?) He says, “I told you to wait until it’s time!” Then, like a smart-aleck, he sits down and continues reading. Then, once it’s time the (dun-un-un-un-un) Rat Man tells them that this is just the beginning, it would get harder, they have to traverse (FANCY) the Scorch, and this project will be called the Scorch Trials (hence the name). Also, a weird Flat Trans-majiggy is going to become one of the walls (TRUMP) and they have a 5 minute period to go through this Flat Trans-majiggy. The next day, they wake up at 6:00 in the morning (not for me) and jump through the portal with their food/water in bags. They end up in a weird chamber that’s dark and they can barely see each other. They count and Minho says “good that,” which he says, like, 500 times throughout this book. (Good That) GET OUT OF HERE MINHO!! Anyway, they leave, a creepy old guy starts whispering like a stalker “Go back now, you won’t get pierced.” The whole team is like “We don’t care!” and leave. Then, a weird ball thingy engulfs a Glader and cuts through his neck and eats his head. (Anybody else feel sick?) 1 more ball gets somebody, they scream, they don’t turn back, and they rest because Minho almost broke his shins on stairs. Another death ball gets Winston and Thomas peels off and his scalp is a bloody mess. Minho, Newt, and Thomas go out into the blinding light with sheets on when Minho finds the door and opens it. It is very hot, but they got used to it and stuff half of the food and water into packs and group each other together with sheets covering them. Cranks come, look at them, run off to the city, and don’t help at all. Thomas goes to a tower he finds, sees Teresa, gets kissed by Teresa, (UGHH 🙁 )  and then Teresa tells him to run away, which he does. He runs until dawn breaks, which was like 2 hours away, and tells the Gladers about what happened once he runs out of breath. He says he saw Teresa, they run to the city, meet Jorge and Brenda, reason with Jorge to help them, and get ambushed while eating. Thomas and Brenda get split up with the others and that’s where weird nose people try to steal their noses. (Yayyyhh) They kill the guy, run around, and then exit the tunnels. They sleep in a truck, Thomas finds that signs are everywhere in the city saying “Thomas, you’re the real leader.” They get forced into a bar, get forced to dance and drink a sleep-inducing drug, and pass out. Minho comes to help them by barging the whole team out into the bar and fighting those guys. Thomas gets shot in the shoulder and WICKED steps in and helps him. He gets amazingly healed, except for a slight pain in his shoulder that eventually goes away. He gets kidnapped by Group B and gets dragged into a cave. They tie him to a tree, Thomas reasons with them, and they decide not to kill him. When Teresa hears this, she stomps off in anger. They walk through a canyon, Teresa grabs Thomas, and makes him travel (with Aris) to his death point. Thomas fights back, Teresa hits Thomas with the back of her spear several times, and they drag him into the room. Will Thomas die after everything he’s been through? Or will he survive and come back with a vengeance? To find out, read The Scorch Trials by James Dashner!
