A Boy and His Bot

A Boy and His Bot, by Daniel H. Wilson

A Boy and His Bot is a fantastic book about ,well, a boy and his bot! Just some of Daniel H. Wilson’s books are, How to Survive a Robot Uprising, Robopocalypse, and Amped. If you have read any of his books and you are in 3rd-7th grade, I highly recommend this book! This book is 192 pages long.I love A Boy and His Bot because it is one of those books that isn’t too long, yet it’s fun is over 9000!(Dragon Ball) Also, it’s point of view is perfect, since it was like you were in it and you could sense all the feelings and you felt that you were an outsider.

Have you ever wanted a giant robot friend? Well, Code does! More on that later. Anyway, this book starts on a field trip to Mek Mound. Code, the main character, is a shy boy who always feels like the answer to everything is nothing at all. Also, a year ago, his grandfather, John Lightfall, comes up missing. While on Mek Mound, Code falls through a steel tunnel, guided by a robot bird named Peep. He adventures through a mysterious world that’s only population is robots! He runs across a white (could be silver) running wall that he has to climb over. He learns from the wall (it’s actually an infinipede) that his grandfather is the king and he’s about to destroy every robot on the world! (their world, anyway) Code must stop his grandfather before it’s too late. On his way. he staggers over a builder bot who makes him his own atomic slaughterbot! With the bot’s help, will Code be able to stop his grandfather from destroying every robot on their world, or will he fall to his knees and lose the world as he knows it? Read A Boy and His Bot to find out.
